Install and Set Up Theme

Install Wordpress

In order to install Wordpress, please follow the detailed instructions in Wordpress official codex.

Install Theme

After installing WordPress, you can start installing the theme.

Extract the zipped package downloaded from ThemeForest into your chosen folder. In the extracted package there is a file homemarket.zip which is the zipped theme.

There are two ways of installing the theme -- via WordPress admin panel or via FTP.

• Admin Panel
  In WordPress admin panel in the left sidebar, go to Appearance > Themes and on top of the page press Add new. On the opened page press upload Theme, select homemarket.zip, and press Install Now. Once your theme is installed, you should see an Activate link. Click on it. Hurrah! Homemarket theme is now successfully activated.

• FTP
  Using FTP, extract the homemarket.zip file and upload the extracted folder to /wp-content/themes/ folder on your server. To activate the theme, in admin panel go to Appearance > Themes, find homemarket thumbnail, hover over it and press Activate. Homemarket theme is now successfully activated.

Plugins

You should see a notice on top of the WordPress admin panel (if you do not have these plugins activated yet) to install plugins. This notice will send you to Appearance > Install Plugins section where you can install them.

To use the homemarket functionality, it is requirement to install Redux options, Visual composer, WooCommerce, Yith Woocommerce Wishlist, Yith Woocommerce Ajax Product Filter, Yith Woocommerce Ajax Search and Contact Form 7 plugins. MailPoet and Regenerate Thumbnails are recommended plugins but are not required to run the theme

After theme active, you will redirect Homemarket Welcome page. On this page, press Click here to install plugins all together. to install recommended plugins.

Import Demo Data

When you have installed the required plugins, now you can import the demo data. You will need to use a custom Homemarket Importer. Go to Homemarket > Homemarket and Press System Status. If you are ready to import demo, press Importer tab and install demo data. Now the data are imported!

Header

All settings related to header can be found at Homemarket > Theme Options > Header. For setting up a header menu, see below.

Footer

All settings related to footer can be found at Homemarket > Theme Options > Footer. You can set up whether to show two, three, or four columns of widget areas. Instructions on how to set up widget areas, see here. For setting up a footer menu, see below.

Menus

Before setting up menus, it is good to add some content, such as different pages, blog posts, products, etc.

When you are ready to set up menus, follow the steps below:

1. Go to Appearance > Menus, enter a menu title into the Menu Name field, e.g. Main Navigation, and press Create Menu.

2. Start dragging and dropping menu items from the left sidebar to the right Menu Structure area. Under Menu Settings check an area on the website where to show the menu, e.g. Main Navigation. There is a total of three menu areas in Homemarket -- Main Navigation(Header), Footer Navigation(Footer), and Collections Navigation. Press Save Menu.

   

   

3. To create another menu, click on the top create a new menu link and repeat the Step 2.

Menu Marker

Menu above special marker can be managed. To display markers on the front-end, you can selectbox option on Main Menu page.

Go to Homemarket > Menu Marker and make markers in there.

And next, Go to Appearance > Menus. Drop Down created menu item and select Main Menu Marker

Widget Areas

There is a total of eight widget areas available in Homemarket theme:

• Blog Sidebar (located on blog related pages)
• Post Sidebar (located on post related pages)
• Woo Category Sidebar (located on Shop related pages)
• Woo Product Sidebar (located on the Product detail page)
• Footer Top Widget, Footer Widget 1, Footer Widget 2, Footer Widget 3, Footer Widget 4, Footer Bottom Widget (located in footer)

Note that most widgets require some content to have on your site. So it is good to add some content before setting up widget areas (e.g. different pages, blog posts, products, etc.).

When you are ready to set up widget areas, go to Appearance > Widgets and start dragging and dropping widgets from the left to the right widget boxes.

There are WordPress built-in widgets, widgets supplied with installed plugins as well as custom Homemarket widgets. There is six of them:

• Homemarket: Ajax Price List Filter (Show a price filter widget with a list of preset price ranges that users can use to better narrow down the products)
• Homemarket: Contact Info (allows displaying your contact information with icons for address, phone, mobile phone, email.)
• Homemarket: Image Blog (Display image blog in widget area)
• Homemarket: Product ExtraInfo (Add product extra info in sidebar)
• Homemarket: Recent Posts (Show recent posts using carousel slider)
• Homemarket: Social Link: (Add Social Links)

Blog & Post

All settings related to blog or post page can be found at Theme Options > Footer. You can set up page layout and the other options.

Breadcrumbs

You can change breadcrumb options like Show/Hide, Delimiter, Background in Theme options > Breadcrumbs.

Woocommerce

All setting related to product detail or collection page style can be found at Theme options > woocommerce.

There is in three option tags such as product Archive, Single Product, Product Image. In there, you can change page layout, and show/hide option.

Fonts

To manage website font, go to Theme options > Fonts.

You can Select Main and alternative font in DropDown meun.

Social Media

To add and show Social Media Links, go to Theme options > Social Media.

Enter the social links in input text boxes.

Custom Code

You can change or add some css styles and js code in admin.

Go to Theme Options > Custom Code, and enter the Custom CSS, Header Javascript code, Footer Javascript code in there.

Home page

If you do not have Home page yet, you can create one at Pages > Add New. Then go to Settings > Reading and check A static page (select below) radio button for Front page displays. For Front page, select your Home page from the drop-down and press Save Settings button.

Blog

As with Home page, you can create a blog page at Pages > Add New if you don't have one yet. Then go to Settings > Reading and check A static page (select below) radio button for Front page displays. For Posts page, select your blog page from the drop-down and press Save Settings button.

WooCommerce

To set up and manage woocommerce, you should first install WooCommerce plugin.

When you have WooCommerce plugin installed, pages such as Shop, Checkout, Cart, and My Account are created automatically and can be found at Pages > All Pages. For detailed documentation on WooCommerce, please go here.

Create a Product

1. To create a product, go to Products > Add Product.
2. Enter product name and write down product description in the text editor area below.
3. In the Header Section, select if you want to add a full screen image or a slider to the product details page.
4. In the Product Data box, you can set up the following:
   Under General, enter product regular price and a sale price if applies. You can also set up a unique SKU identifier.
   Under Inventory, tick the Manage stock checkbox if there is a limited number of products available and set up other stock-related information.
   Under Shipping, enter information related to the product size and shipping. Under Linked, you can group the product with other products.
   Under Attributes, set up attributes.
   Under Advanced, you can add some additional settings.
   If you are not sure about what the field is for, there is a question mark next to the field. Hover on it, and a tooltip with explanation appears.
5. If there is a product variation, e.g. color or dimension, select Variable product in the select box next to the Product Data title. A new tab called Variations appears. Before adding variations, you should first set up attributes.
6. On the right, you can set up tags, featured image, product gallery, and product categories.
7. Enter a short product description into Product Short Description box.
8. Press Publish button.

Create a Product Brands

1. To create a product brands, go to Products > Product Brand.
2. Enter Brand Name and write down brand description in the text eidtor area below.
3. Add Brand image. You must add image here.
4. Press Add New Product Brand

Shortcodes

In Homemarket theme, created shortcode in visual composer element. So you needn`t edit shortcode in here. You can add theme shortcode elements in adding composer element area.

In by SoapTheme tab, there is in theme shortcodes.

Homemarket Tabs

Add Tab elements like visual Composer Old tab with some tab styles.

Custom Menu

Show Created Menu in page or post content with menu title and background.

Flex Slider

Show Flex Slider in page or post content. You can add each featured and thumbnails image and text.

Product Brands

Show created Product Brand images in front-end. This has child content Product Brand. Select Product brand name and choose rendering styles.

Product Category

Display multiple products in a category in Front-end.

You can select show style like Carousel, Grid, List.

And manage column, rows and the other options.

Sale Products

Display list all products on sale. Also you can select display style like Carousel, Grid, List.

Image Blogs

Add Image Blog in front-end. You can select images and image effects in dropdown menu.

Enter the image text in text edit area

Info Box

Display icons with text.

You can choose Fontawesome or Custom image icon and change styles. and enter the icon title and description in text edit area

Google Map

Display Google Map in page or post content. You can manage Map Type, Map Style and Advanced options

Masonry Images

Display multiple Images by masonry.

You can select serveral Images and choose masonry effects.

Featured Categories

Display featured category with image and info.

You can manage display setting like carousel, or gird.

Recent Post

Display recent post in content using Carousel or Grid.

Multi Products

Show multiple products by ID or SKU.

Manage display setting and the other options.

Homemarket Best Selling Products

Display best selling products on sale like woocommerce plugin.

You can also manage display settings and the other options.

Homemarket Recent Products

Show Created recent products in content using variable display styles.

Homemarket Content Block

Display custom block in page or post content.

Customer can edit block title and description in text edit area. and Set background image and enter the block link in option tab.

FAQs

Q: How to change theme colors?
A: To change theme colors, go to Theme options > Site Skin & Settings, you can see the Site Skin options. If you change color in here, will be changed theme color. Also you can disable Site Pre-loading Effect in Page Pre-load Effect option.

Q: How to implement child theme?
A: You need to install the child theme from homemarket-child.zip (provided in the full package archive) and activate it in Admin Panel > Apperance > Themes section. After that you can sutomize your child theme without changing original one. This needed to have possiblity to update HomeMarket in future without losing your fixes. For example, you can copy a template file from HomeMarket to your child theme and make adjustments there. You can familiarize yourself with child themes more here.
